Senior Civil Engineer – Refinery & Petrochemicals Projects

About the role

The Senior Civil Engineer will lead the delivery of civil engineering services for refinery and petrochemical OPEX and CAPEX projects. You will provide technical expertise, ensure compliance with international codes, and support the Engineering Services Manager in achieving high‑quality, cost‑effective outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver civil engineering solutions for refinery and petrochemical unit projects, focusing on safety, reliability, and quality.
• Identify and eliminate design defects in existing civil/structural facilities.
• Prepare civil estimates, work plans, and manage project execution within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Develop contract scopes of work, review external contractor proposals, and issue recommendations for award.
• Utilize SmartPlant 3D for model verification and ensure database compliance with contract specifications.
• Coordinate project meetings, define manpower and equipment needs, and supervise site works for quality assurance.
• Continuously improve civil engineering processes, procedures, and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in civil/structural engineering, preferably in refinery or petrochemical environments.
• Strong knowledge of the latest international codes and standards.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
