Accountant

About the role

The company is seeking a qualified Accountant to manage internal financial regulations, oversee revenue and expenditure, and ensure accurate month‑end and year‑end reporting. The role involves close collaboration with tax, audit, and banking partners while supporting budgeting and financing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop internal financial account regulations based on headquarters guidance and obtain approvals.
• Record and supervise company revenue, expenses, cost structures, receivables, and payables.
• Prepare month‑end and year‑end financial reports.
• Coordinate with internal and external tax and audit teams, providing timely and accurate documentation.
• Maintain relationships with tax authorities, auditors, and banks.
• Handle cash receipts, create vouchers, reconcile bank statements, and issue invoices.
• Participate in annual budgeting, monthly capital planning, and variance analysis.
• Review employee expense claims.
• Design and negotiate financing scenarios and ensure timely reporting to the China headquarters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Management (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in Oman.
• Knowledge of Omani tax law and regulations.
• Valid Omani driving licence.
• Fluent English (required); Arabic is an advantage.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, CA, etc.) is a plus but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP and other ERP/accounting software.
• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
