Accountant (Omani National) - Thrifty Rent A Car, Oman

About the role

Thrifty Rent A Car, Oman, part of Al-Futtaim Financial Services, is looking for an Omani National Accountant. The role covers month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting and intercompany processes, aiming to keep financial data accurate and aligned with organisational goals. It calls for proactive financial analysis, close collaboration with other departments and a commitment to financial integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly flash and IFRP reports with variance analysis and key performance insights
• Ensure accurate month-end closing, with all reconciliations and accruals completed
• Oversee approvals, ICM settlements and cost control activities
• Manage daily bank, cash and receipt reconciliations and prepare cash flow forecasts, driving efficiency through automation
• Arrange and handle insurance coverage and claims, and verify insurance data before processing claims

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
• Preferably a CMA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent certificate
• 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles
• Omani national
