API Integration Specialist

About the role

The API Integration Specialist will design, develop, configure and support the bank’s API Management platform, working closely with business stakeholders and internal IT teams to enable secure and compliant integration with institutional partners and fintech providers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and publish API products using IBM API Connect and IBM DataPower.
• Create message flows in IBM App Connect Enterprise for core banking integrations.
• Manage the full API lifecycle, ensuring alignment with security, compliance and governance standards.
• Provide technical onboarding and support for institutional customers and fintech partners.
• Support API‑related projects including configuration, development fixes, testing, UAT, performance and security testing.
• Monitor platforms, perform operational support and on‑call incident handling.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis, escalation management and implement preventive actions.
• Contribute improvement ideas and enforce internal delivery, security and problem‑management processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of IT solution design, development and support experience.
• At least 6 years hands‑on with IBM API Connect and 5 years with IBM DataPower.
• Mandatory IBM API Connect Professional and IBM App Connect Enterprise Professional certifications.
• Experience with Open Banking, Open API and PSD2 standards is highly desirable.
