Area Manager - Africa International Sales

About the role

SalamAir is looking for an Area Manager for Africa International Sales, based in Muscat. The role leads regional sales and business planning, delivers revenue, yield and passenger targets and builds long-term commercial value across assigned African markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop annual regional sales and business plans and deliver revenue, yield and passenger targets
• Identify new revenue streams such as corporate, OTA, charter and stopover business, and monitor market trends and competitors
• Lead GSA selection, onboarding and performance management, run Quarterly Business Reviews and monitor ORC, KPIs and contractual compliance
• Coordinate with Revenue Management on pricing and promotions, and support distribution and agency expansion
• Maintain relationships with airports, tourism boards, regulators and trade partners, and represent SalamAir at industry events
• Coach Country Managers and GSAs, develop commercial teams and foster a high-performance culture
• Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly business reviews and executive reports

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Aviation or a related field
• 8-10 years of airline commercial experience
• Minimum 5 years in regional or international sales leadership
• Preferred: experience managing multiple countries and GSAs, and low-cost carrier experience
• Excellent English communication; additional languages desirable
