Assistant Manager - Accounts

About the role

Al-Futtaim Automotive is looking for a finance professional to support dealership operations across Sales and Aftersales. The role partners closely with branch management to provide decision support for budgeting, forecasting, MIS reporting and KPI achievement, while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. It reports to the Financial Controller.

Key responsibilities

• Support monthly and quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting and SAP uploads for Sales and Aftersales operations.
• Oversee sales accounting, documentation, cash control, refunds, petty cash, daily collections and intercompany reconciliations.
• Review and strengthen stock, debtor, insurance and WIP controls, including physical inventory reconciliation, annual stock counts and timely closure of job cards in line with IFRS requirements.
• Ensure branch adherence to finance SOPs, support internal audit reviews and implement audit recommendations.
• Lead, supervise and develop the branch finance team, and support ad hoc reports, business projects and senior management requirements.

Required profile

• 5 to 10 years of experience in finance.
• Chartered Accountant or similar professional finance qualification.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, able to plan, prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
• Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset, good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Strong financial analysis, budgeting, P&L, forecasting and MIS reporting.
• Good understanding of VAT regulations, tax laws, IFRS and internal control requirements.
• Experience with ERP systems and strong proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.
