Assistant Manager – Finance & Accounting

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Finance & Accounting will be based in Muscat, Oman and will support the finance and accounting operations of the Oman business. You will work closely with the Shared Service Center, customers, vendors, auditors and government authorities to ensure accurate reporting and effective cash management.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor receivables, ageing, DSO and bad debts; drive collection actions and manage the LC process.
• Review customer credit limits, payment terms and resolve disputes, deductions and short payments.
• Coordinate day‑to‑day accounting activities with the Shared Service Center, including vendor reconciliations, payment proposals and GR/IR balances.
• Support vendor master data governance and implementation of the vendor portal.
• Review accounting activities, balance‑sheet reconciliations, journal entries and month‑end closing tasks.
• Prepare VAT reconciliations, statutory filings and other local tax requirements.
• Monitor revenue recognition and Percentage of Completion calculations in line with IFRS.

Required profile

• Solid experience in finance and accounting functions, preferably within a multinational environment.
• Knowledge of O2C, P2P and R2R processes and related controls.
• Familiarity with local statutory compliance, VAT and IFRS reporting standards.
• Ability to work with shared service centers and coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders.

Required skills

• VIM (Vendor Invoice Management) system usage.
• Understanding of IFRS principles.
• VAT compliance and filing.
• Letter of Credit (LC) processing.
