Cashier – Retail Payments Specialist

About the role
The cashier will handle daily payment transactions, manage cash floats and ensure accurate reconciliation while delivering excellent customer service in a retail environment.
Key responsibilities
- Process cash, card, cheque, bank transfer, gift card and voucher transactions through the POS system.
- Maintain daily cashier floats, perform cash/teller reconciliation and prepare bank deposits.
- Manage petty cash, record cash withdrawals and keep gift‑card and voucher trackers up to date.
- Support shift and roster management, capture customer details and address payment‑related queries.
- Identify and report POS discrepancies and follow all cash‑handling and security procedures.
Required profile
- 2–6 years of experience in cashiering, cash management, retail or customer service.
- Higher Secondary, Diploma or Graduate qualification.
- Good communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
Required skills
- Proficiency with POS systems.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
