Chief AGE Mechanic – Senior Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

The Chief AGE Mechanic leads the AGE maintenance shop, supervising and training technicians while ensuring all assigned AGE assets are inspected, serviced, and ready for deployment. This senior position works closely with the AGE Superintendent to meet operational priorities and complies with USAF and Amentum technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and evaluate AGE mechanics and technicians.
• Perform periodic inspections, maintenance, and repairs on hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and fuel systems, including turbine, diesel, and gasoline driven AGE.
• Manage parts, tools, and supplies inventory; requisition as needed.
• Prepare equipment for exercises, deployments, and transportation by air, sea, or surface.
• Document work orders, supply forms, and historical data in accordance with US Air Force and Amentum procedures.
• Implement ISO 9001:2015 quality standards and conduct quality assurance reviews.
• Conduct on‑the‑job training, maintain training records, and ensure safety and HAZMAT compliance.
• Coordinate TDY travel and attend AGE staff meetings.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with AGE maintenance and supervision.
• Strong knowledge of USAF technical orders and Amentum directives.
• Ability to manage inventory, documentation, and quality systems.
• Excellent communication skills for training and coordination.
