Cluster MICE & Group Manager

About the role

The Cluster MICE & Group Manager will lead all MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events) and group sales activities for Alila Hinu Bay, a luxury beachfront resort in Oman. The role combines strategic sales development with hands‑on event coordination to attract high‑profile corporate and leisure groups.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new MICE business opportunities across local, GCC and international markets.
• Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners and luxury destination management companies.
• Design and launch promotional packages, partnerships and tactical sales plans to maximise revenue.
• Represent the resort at trade shows, roadshows and networking events.
• Collaborate with clients to create customised luxury event experiences.
• Coordinate with internal operations, F&B and banquet teams to ensure flawless event execution.
• Manage event budgets, timelines and logistics.
• Maintain long‑term client relationships to drive repeat business and referrals.
• Conduct market research, track MICE trends and provide regular performance reports.
• Ensure all events align with Alila’s luxury brand standards and sustainability principles.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in MICE sales or event management within luxury hospitality.
• Strong network in the MICE, corporate and luxury travel sectors.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure, multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Creative problem‑solving skills for innovative client solutions.
• Knowledge of Oman’s tourism landscape and Alila’s brand ethos is a plus.
