Director of Operations – Hotel

About the role

The Director of Operations leads the strategic direction of the hotel’s daily functions, reporting directly to the General Manager. This senior position oversees all operational departments to ensure Marriott brand standards, service excellence, and financial performance are achieved.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Front Office, Business Center, Recreation/Health Club, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Culinary, and Engineering/Maintenance teams.
• Develop and execute operational strategies that drive guest satisfaction, employee engagement, and revenue growth.
• Maintain positive owner relations and ensure compliance with brand standards across all departments.
• Collaborate with department heads to implement brand initiatives and monitor financial performance.
• Oversee pre‑opening activities for new resort projects when required.

Required profile

• Minimum 3‑5 years of senior operational leadership experience in the GCC hospitality market.
• Strong background in Food & Beverage operations with proven multi‑department hotel leadership.
• Previous resort experience, preferably in luxury or upscale environments.
• Demonstrated success in driving guest satisfaction, employee engagement, and financial results.
• Experience with Marriott brand standards is an advantage.
