Executive Director / Head of Coverage

About the role

The Investment Banking platform in Oman is seeking an Executive Director / Head of Coverage to lead strategic client relationships across the Sultanate and the wider GCC region. This senior, revenue‑generating position will shape the firm’s franchise, advise influential institutions, and drive new business across M&A, financing and capital‑markets solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage senior‑level relationships with sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, family offices, government entities and financial institutions.
• Originate and execute investment‑banking mandates covering M&A, strategic advisory, financing and capital‑markets transactions.
• Identify cross‑selling opportunities for the firm’s broader advisory and financing capabilities.
• Lead client coverage efforts, maintaining regular engagement with key decision‑makers.
• Generate and convert a robust pipeline of advisory and financing opportunities.
• Collaborate with product teams to structure and deliver tailored solutions.
• Act as a market ambassador for the firm across Oman and the GCC.
• Support the continued growth and development of the investment‑banking franchise.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate banking, advisory or coverage roles.
• Proven track record of originating and executing M&A, financing and strategic advisory transactions.
• Strong network across sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, family offices, government‑related entities and financial institutions in Oman and the GCC.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain C‑suite and senior stakeholder relationships.
• Experience managing both origination and execution responsibilities.
• Commercially driven with deep understanding of regional market dynamics.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to contribute to the growth of a developing platform.
