Experienced Audit Associate – Assurance (Oman)

About the role

We are seeking an Experienced Associate to join our Audit & Assurance team in Oman. The role offers the chance to work on diverse client engagements, applying rigorous audit methodologies while developing professional expertise within a globally recognised firm.

Key responsibilities

• Apply relevant accounting standards and perform risk assessment procedures to identify potential material misstatements.
• Deliver high‑quality audits using Deloitte’s Global Audit Imperatives, methodology, and tools.
• Formulate sound judgments and conclusions to produce timely, informative audit outputs.
• Ensure compliance with auditing and accounting standards, local regulations, ethical requirements, and the firm’s quality control procedures.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Auditing or a related field with strong academic credentials.
• 2‑3 years of experience in accounting, auditing or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated leadership, problem‑solving abilities and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and work both independently and collaboratively.
• Fluent in English; bilingual Arabic/English candidates are preferred.

Required skills

• Knowledge of accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, local Omani standards).
• Risk assessment and audit planning techniques.
• Proficiency with audit methodology and related tools.
