Finance & Accounting Specialist

About the role

Our client, a well‑established organisation in Oman, is looking for a Finance & Accounting Specialist to join its finance team. This position offers a solid platform for professionals with 2–5 years of experience to deepen their expertise in financial reporting, analysis, and compliance within a dynamic corporate environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day financial accounting transactions and general ledger activities.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing processes, including reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and standalone statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Support budgeting, cash‑flow reporting and financial analysis.
• Coordinate external audit activities and prepare required documentation.
• Process invoices, payments, accruals and prepaid expenses.
• Assist with tax compliance and regulatory reporting.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2–5 years of relevant finance or accounting experience.
• Previous external audit exposure is highly desirable.
• Good understanding of IFRS and financial reporting principles.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication abilities.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, IFRS Diploma are advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems.
