Finance Manager - Muscat

About the role

The Finance Manager oversees financial strategy, compliance and portfolio management to ensure optimal business performance. The role suits someone with expertise in the travel industry and the Gulf region, strong team leadership and SAP proficiency. It is based in Muscat and involves about 20% international travel.

Key responsibilities

• Develop financial metrics to optimise performance and mitigate risk
• Oversee financial reporting, analysis and recommendations
• Conduct financial modelling to support executive decisions
• Coordinate financial planning on expenses, revenue, taxation and risk
• Manage P&L, balance sheet movements and accounts receivable cash applications in line with IFRS
• Lead cost optimisation and margin improvement initiatives
• Handle relationships with bankers, auditors and tax authorities
• Ensure compliance with local and cross-border financial regulations
• Support the Finance Head with valuation models and corrective strategies
• Supervise a finance team and foster its development

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) with Chartered Accountant (CA) certification
• 5-10 years in finance, including 3+ years as a Finance Manager
• Preferred: travel industry experience, knowledge of Gulf financial regulations, and team leadership experience
• Willingness to travel within the UAE and internationally about 20% of the time
• UAE driving licence preferred for client and supplier visits
