General Manager – Real Estate Operations

About the role

The General Manager will lead the real estate operations of a leading Omani family‑owned organisation, focusing on leasing while also supporting development and hospitality assets. Reporting to the Board, the role aligns daily activities with strategic objectives to drive sustainable growth across the portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Board in implementing strategic goals, ensuring operational alignment with budgets and corporate policies.
• Lead the leasing portfolio, improving occupancy, revenue, and market positioning for residential and commercial assets.
• Develop and execute sales, leasing, pricing, and marketing strategies within approved budgets.
• Manage tenant relations, lease renewals, contract closures and coordinate with property and facility management teams.
• Assist the Board on development projects, conducting feasibility studies, investment evaluations and obtaining regulatory approvals.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors and authorities to ensure efficient project execution and compliance.
• Provide strategic oversight for hospitality and hotel assets, monitoring performance and liaising with operators.
• Lead and develop cross‑functional teams across operations, development and hospitality.
• Maintain confidentiality and close alignment with shareholders in a family‑business environment.
• Drive organisational change as an energetic leader with a proven results‑orientation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (preferred) or equivalent; MBA, PMP or related qualification is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of senior management experience in Oman, with overall 14+ years in real estate leasing, operations and development.
• Experience in trading or hospitality is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to manage group or family‑owned businesses.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems.
