Geophysics Summer Trainee (Imaging Geophysicist)

About the role

Viridien is looking for a motivated Summer Trainee to join its Imaging Geophysicist team. You will receive hands‑on training in seismic processing and 3D subsurface imaging while contributing to real client projects.

Key responsibilities

• Learn the fundamentals of the seismic processing workflow and build a solid technical foundation.
• Create 3D subsurface images using inversion algorithms, wave‑equation modeling and signal‑processing techniques.
• Apply geoscience principles to solve simple geophysical problems under supervision.
• Perform quality‑control checks, report issues and document results for project leaders.
• Set up, run and monitor processing tasks using industry‑standard software.
• Participate in e‑learning modules, attend scheduled classes and support client meetings.

Required profile

• Undergraduate BSc in Geosciences (or related field).
• Completed a seismic data processing course is highly desired.
• Ability to apply theoretical knowledge to moderately complex assignments.
• Confidence using technical software and tools for advanced applications.
• Strong organisational skills to plan and execute work efficiently.
