Income Auditor

About the role

The Income Auditor ensures the accuracy and integrity of all hotel revenue streams by auditing daily transactions and verifying financial records. Working closely with the Finance Department, this role monitors revenue‑generating operations, identifies discrepancies, and supports timely, accurate reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Audit and verify daily revenue transactions from Front Office, F&B, Banquets, Spa and other departments.
• Review and reconcile sales reports, cash receipts, credit‑card transactions and city‑ledger postings.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between operational reports and accounting records.
• Monitor compliance with hotel policies, internal controls and financial procedures.
• Validate discounts, rebates, complimentary services, voids, refunds and rate adjustments.
• Prepare and distribute daily revenue and statistical reports to management.
• Generate monthly revenue summaries and analytical reports.
• Support month‑end closing activities for revenue accounts.
• Maintain accurate audit files and ensure data integrity in PMS, POS and ERP systems.
• Coordinate with department heads to correct posting errors and system issues.
• Assist internal and external auditors during audit periods.
• Contribute to special finance projects, budgeting and financial analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• 2–3 years of accounting or auditing experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong analytical, numerical and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
