Junior System Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior System Engineer to join our Infrastructure team. The role is ideal for fresh graduates or candidates with up to two years of experience who have a basic understanding of Linux, networking, web servers and system administration. You will support the availability and performance of our IT systems while gaining hands‑on experience across a range of technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain Linux and Windows servers.
• Assist with application deployment and server administration.
• Track system health metrics such as CPU, memory, disk space and network utilization.
• Troubleshoot server, application and network issues.
• Review logs to diagnose and resolve problems.
• Support Apache Web Server and Apache Tomcat environments.
• Deploy and configure web applications on Apache and Tomcat.
• Manage user accounts and access controls.
• Participate in system patching, backup and maintenance activities.
• Document configurations, procedures and troubleshooting steps.
• Follow IT security policies and best practices.
• Coordinate with application, database and network teams to resolve incidents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in IT infrastructure, system administration or technical support; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Basic Linux administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
• Windows server administration.
• Fundamental networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, subnetting).
• Apache HTTP Server and Apache Tomcat configuration.
• SQL and general database concepts.
• Basic scripting (Bash, Shell, Python).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and related services.
• CCNA or equivalent networking knowledge (preferred).
• RHCSA certification or ongoing RHCSA training (preferred).
