Legal Counsel – Litigation & Legal Studies

About the role

The Legal Counsel – Litigation & Legal Studies will lead and manage the company’s litigation matters, providing strategic legal advice and ensuring the protection of corporate interests in disputes. This role reports to the Regulatory & Compliance Division and works closely with external counsel and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare defenses and represent the company in legal proceedings, coordinating with external counsel as needed.
• Review, draft, and issue legal notices and documents to safeguard company interests.
• Appear before courts or adjudicating bodies in significant cases.
• Provide legal advice on operational risks and recommend mitigation solutions.
• Offer legal opinions on policy matters and support strategy development.
• Monitor legal and regulatory changes affecting the business and ensure compliance.
• Manage and mentor junior legal staff, aligning their work with company goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law.
• 3–6 years of relevant work experience.
• Proven ability to handle litigation and advise on legal risks.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior legal professionals.
