Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for safeguarding the property, guests, and employees by monitoring security systems, responding to incidents, and conducting regular safety inspections. This full‑time position works on‑site at a hospitality venue in Muscat, Oman.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarms, duress alarms and fire‑life‑safety systems.
• Lock property entrances when required and conduct daily hazard inspections.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and coordinate EMS when needed.
• Defuse guest or employee disturbances and call for external assistance if necessary.
• Complete detailed incident reports, shift summaries and daily activity logs.
• Escort unwelcome persons and report vehicle accidents or thefts.
• Maintain confidentiality of all security and loss‑prevention documentation.
• Conduct investigations, gather evidence and interview relevant parties.
• Follow company policies, report unsafe conditions and uphold professional appearance.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods and respond quickly to emergencies.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lb unaided and up to 75 lb with assistance.
• Clear vision for reading small print and inspecting equipment for defects.
• Professional demeanor with strong communication skills.
• Willingness to obtain any required licensing or registration.
• Commitment to confidentiality and protection of company assets.
