About the role
The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for safeguarding the property, guests, and employees by monitoring security systems, responding to incidents, and conducting investigations. This full‑time position requires a proactive approach to safety and excellent situational awareness.
Key responsibilities
- Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access.
- Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarms, and fire life‑safety systems.
- Lock property entrances when required and conduct daily hazard inspections.
- Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and contact EMS as needed.
- Defuse disturbances, escort unwelcome persons, and manage emergency situations.
- Complete incident reports, shift summaries, and maintain confidentiality of all security documentation.
- Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties.
- Support guests, including individuals with disabilities, and ensure a professional appearance.
Required profile
- Ability to stand, walk, or run for extended periods and lift up to 50 kg unassisted.
- Strong observational skills and the capacity to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Willingness to follow company policies, safety procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
