Maintenance Team Lead

About the role

The Maintenance Team Lead is responsible for directing the maintenance planning function to ensure all scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance activities are efficiently planned, resourced, and executed. This role safeguards aircraft availability, safety, and cost efficiency while complying with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor due and overdue maintenance tasks, including flight hours, flight cycles, ADs, SBs, and MEL/CDL items.
• Ensure timely completion of tasks before due limits and adjust plans for operational changes such as delays, aircraft swaps, or AOG situations.
• Review and finalize short‑term work packages for line and light maintenance, guaranteeing accurate task cards and maintenance data.
• Coordinate with engineering for technical clarifications and act as the primary interface between CAMO, Maintenance Control Centre, line/base maintenance, and flight dispatch.
• Lead, supervise, and coach light‑maintenance and short‑term planners, assigning daily priorities and monitoring output quality.
• Maintain full traceability and documentation of planned tasks, support budget preparation, and ensure audit findings are closed.
• Ensure compliance with Oman CAA regulations, training requirements, and supply‑chain availability of parts and tools.
• Identify inefficiencies in planning processes and propose revisions to reduce delays, AOG events, and improve schedule adherence.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading aircraft maintenance planning teams.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, particularly Oman CAA airworthiness directives and service bulletins.
• Ability to manage budgets, audits, and documentation with high accuracy.
• Excellent coordination skills with engineering, operations, and supply‑chain functions.
• Leadership capability to coach staff, assign priorities, and drive continuous improvement.
