Manager - Aircraft Maintenance Records

About the role

The Manager – Aircraft Maintenance Records is responsible for ensuring that all technical documentation for the fleet complies with Oman CAA regulations and maintains airworthiness. The role oversees both digital and physical record‑keeping systems, supports audits, and leads a team of records staff.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain complete, up‑to‑date aircraft technical records, including logbooks, work packs and maintenance releases.
• Implement and manage filing, archiving and retrieval processes for both digital and physical documents.
• Monitor aircraft usage data (hours, cycles, landings) and ensure compliance with retention periods and lease return requirements.
• Prepare and support audits by aviation authorities and lessors, ensuring timely closure of findings.
• Track Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), life‑limited parts (LLPs) and scheduled maintenance.
• Verify Certificates of Release to Service (CRS) and maintain traceability of parts.
• Supervise records staff, allocate workload and provide training on regulatory procedures.
• Coordinate with engineering, planning, quality and flight operations departments.
• Support budget preparation and contribute to continuous improvement of records systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing aircraft technical records and regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with Oman CAA (CAME) requirements and aviation documentation standards.
• Ability to lead a team, supervise staff and manage workload effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and capability to support internal and external audits.
