Marine Business Development Manager – Oman

About the role

The Marine Business Development Manager will lead the growth of TPT International’s marine service portfolio across Oman and the wider region. Reporting to the General Manager, the role focuses on identifying new commercial opportunities with ship owners, operators, shipyards and related maritime stakeholders, and converting them into profitable contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and acquire new business for marine services, targeting shipowners, management companies, offshore operators, tug and barge firms, oil & gas contractors, shipyards, ports and marine agents.
• Visit client vessels, ports, shipyards and other facilities to assess upcoming maintenance, repair, dry‑docking and technical service needs.
• Gather technical requirements, collaborate with the Marine Technical Services Manager and prepare quotations, commercial proposals and tender submissions.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms within approved limits and follow enquiries through to award.
• Maintain a pipeline of opportunities, forecast revenue and keep an up‑to‑date client and opportunity database.
• Monitor vessel movements, fleet schedules and dry‑docking programmes to spot cross‑selling opportunities.
• Develop strategic relationships with OEMs, specialist service providers, shipyards and subcontractors.
• Collect market intelligence on competitors, pricing trends and emerging customer needs.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in marine business development, ship management or related maritime services.
• Strong understanding of vessel operations, technical marine services and the offshore industry.
• Proven track record of generating new commercial contracts and managing long‑term client relationships.
• Willingness to travel regionally and conduct regular on‑site visits.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
