MEP and Power Inspector

About the role

SYSTRA is seeking an experienced MEP and Power Inspector to oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for railway stations, depots, control buildings and related infrastructure. The role ensures all works comply with contract specifications, railway standards, safety regulations and project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Review and monitor MEP and power system designs, shop drawings, material submittals and method statements.
• Supervise site execution of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, drainage, HVAC, fire protection, lighting, earthing and power distribution works.
• Coordinate interfaces between MEP systems and civil, architectural, track, signalling and telecommunications works.
• Verify electrical load calculations, equipment sizing, cable routing, grounding, backup power and distribution layouts.
• Support review of substations, switchgear, transformers, LV panels, emergency power and UPS installations.
• Monitor construction quality, conduct inspections, testing, commissioning, snagging and defect tracking.
• Identify technical risks and interface conflicts, propose corrective actions and prepare progress and non‑conformance reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience reviewing and supervising MEP and power engineering activities on railway or large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of railway standards, safety regulations and quality requirements.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage interface issues.
• Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
