Part-Time Remote Buyer

About the role

AfricaFeminaSphère is hiring a part-time, remote Buyer to source and purchase products and services that fit the organization's mission and quality standards. The role is fully remote and requires working independently while managing several priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Research suppliers, request and evaluate quotes, negotiate pricing and terms, and place purchase orders within budget and timelines.
• Monitor inventory levels, track deliveries and resolve order or shipment issues with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Analyze purchasing data, keep accurate records and collaborate with the team to anticipate needs and support program activities.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain, including vendor research, quote comparison and order management.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a part-time remote setting.
• Knowledge of ethical and sustainable sourcing; familiarity with regional African markets is an advantage.
• Relevant education or training in business, supply chain, procurement or a related field is preferred.

Required skills

• Strong negotiation, budgeting and cost analysis skills.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and procurement or inventory tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with suppliers and remote colleagues.
