Principal Electrical Engineer

About the role

Worley is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of electrical equipment for brownfield oil & gas projects. The role involves ensuring compliance with standards, driving technical integrity, and supporting safe, efficient project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and address company, statutory, and engineering standards in electrical equipment design across all purchase orders and programmes.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry standards and ensure project designs comply with current requirements.
• Check, verify and review electrical discipline deliverables to ensure technical integrity.
• Communicate safety‑critical design decisions to project teams and document them appropriately.
• Plan and execute discipline activities, manage quality, and control resources in collaboration with the Project Engineering Manager.
• Coordinate change control, technical queries, and interface with procurement, construction and third‑party contractors.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of brownfield oil & gas electrical design and engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and professional engineering registration.
• Proven leadership in multidisciplinary project teams and strong HSSE commitment.
• Experience delivering projects from FEED through commissioning and start‑up, preferably in the Middle East.
