Quantity Surveyor

About the role

WSP is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join its project engineering team, responsible for managing quantity surveying activities on major and extension projects. The role involves cost control, contract administration and supporting the client throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor all cost and contractual aspects and report to the client.
• Provide technical support, assistance and advice on measurement, certification and payments.
• Collect and verify quantity measurements from the site and prepare quantity survey reports.
• Prepare monthly contractor interim payment certificates and final account statements.
• Assist in interpreting contract documents and analysing contractor claims.
• Review contractor claims and ensure proper documentation for interim and final payments.
• Ensure materials used on site conform to approved specifications and report any non‑conformance.
• Coordinate with project managers to align surveying activities with overall project delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Professional engineering licence preferred.
• In‑depth knowledge of electrical systems, relevant codes and standards.
• Proven experience in project management and team leadership.
