Road Works Supervisor

About the role

Galfar Engg. & Contracting SAOG is looking for a Road Works Supervisor in Muscat. The post holder is responsible for carrying out road works on site according to the drawings and the scheduled plan, supervising the work so that it meets specifications and quality requirements, and managing the workforce, machinery and materials.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out road works on site as per the drawings and the schedule.
• Supervise the works and ensure they meet the requirements and quality specifications.
• Assign work to skilled and unskilled labour and machinery, arrange materials and ensure their availability according to the daily plan.
• Prepare daily programmes, update site progress against projections and report daily.
• Hold daily meetings with workers to ensure productivity, control costs and train them on QHSE requirements.
• Maintain records of site progress and measure worker and equipment performance against organisational norms.
• Analyse drawings and liaise with the Senior Engineer on clarifications.
• Implement and maintain safety standards at work locations.

Required profile

• Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• 5-7 years of experience in road excavation, backfilling, sub-base, pavements, road furniture, utility works, riprap/gabion protection and drainage channels.
