Senior Developer Experience Engineer

About the role

RQMNA is looking for a Senior Developer Experience Engineer to own the end‑to‑end experience of its national platform. Based on‑site in Muscat, you will enable internal engineers and external entity developers to build, integrate and ship faster through well‑crafted tooling, documentation and SDKs.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain the complete developer experience for internal teams and external integrators.
• Create golden‑path templates, scaffolding and self‑service tooling to streamline delivery.
• Improve the inner development loop by reducing build times and friction from idea to running code.
• Manage the developer portal and API documentation, including interactive OpenAPI references.
• Develop and sustain SDKs, code samples, quickstarts and reference integrations.
• Accelerate time‑to‑first‑successful‑integration and turn recurring questions into better docs and tools.
• Write platform documentation as code, version‑controlled and bilingual in English and Arabic.
• Measure developer experience with concrete metrics, advocate for developers in platform decisions, and set DevEx standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience owning developer experience for a platform, internal or external.
• Engineer‑first mindset: builds tooling, templates and SDKs and can document code accurately.
• Comfort with docs‑as‑code practices (Markdown, Git, OpenAPI, documentation pipelines).
• Clear writing ability, capable of simplifying complex concepts with diagrams.
• Empathetic to developers’ needs and proactive in improving their experience.
• Data‑driven approach to measuring friction and time‑to‑first‑success.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Fluent English required; Arabic is a valuable advantage.
