Senior Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

The Senior Maintenance Supervisor leads a team of Maintenance Technicians in a smelter environment, ensuring safe, high‑quality maintenance services that support operational targets. This role combines hands‑on technical oversight with strategic planning, EHS compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Implement Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) procedures, issue work permits, and conduct risk assessments for all contractor activities.
• Respond to non‑routine and emergency EHS situations, including injuries and emergency drills.
• Plan, organise, and control daily maintenance operations, directing Technicians and Lead Technicians to meet production goals.
• Inspect work, monitor KPIs, and report progress while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Optimise resource usage, control PPE consumption, and manage time‑and‑attendance records in SAP.
• Control costs, adhere to budgets, and identify opportunities to increase productivity.
• Lead, motivate, and develop the team through performance objectives, coaching, and feedback.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising maintenance teams in an industrial or smelting environment.
• Strong knowledge of EHS standards, work‑permit processes, and emergency response planning.
• Ability to plan and prioritise work, manage contingencies, and communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
• Leadership skills to set targets, monitor performance, and foster a safety‑first culture.

Required skills

• SAP for time‑and‑attendance, cost tracking, and resource management.
