Senior Mobile Developer – React Native

About the role

RQMNA is looking for a Senior Mobile Developer to own and evolve the national mobile applications that millions of citizens use to access government services. You will work on‑site in Muscat, delivering high‑quality, secure, offline‑first experiences for iOS and Android from a single React Native codebase.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain production‑grade React Native apps for iOS and Android using the bare workflow.
• Write native modules in Swift and Kotlin when deeper platform integration is required.
• Implement offline‑first architecture, secure on‑device storage, and reliable synchronization over poor networks.
• Integrate citizen authentication, biometrics, push notifications, and platform identity services.
• Create a fully bilingual UI with right‑to‑left Arabic layout and typography.
• Harden apps with certificate pinning, secure storage, and mobile app shielding.
• Own the mobile CI/CD pipeline, automated testing, and release process to app stores and enterprise distribution.
• Ensure WCAG accessibility compliance and tune performance to feel native.
• Mentor junior mobile engineers.

Required profile

• Proven experience shipping React Native apps at scale to the App Store and Google Play.
• Fluent in React Native and TypeScript, comfortable with the bare workflow.
• Ability to write and debug native Swift and Kotlin modules.
• Strong focus on offline‑first performance and mobile security.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience delivering Arabic right‑to‑left or other bidirectional/localized applications.
• Hands‑on experience managing the full release pipeline.
• Fluent English; Arabic is a valuable advantage.
