Senior Sales Engineer - Fire Systems

About the role

Johnson Controls is looking for a Senior Sales Engineer to support its Fire Protection and Security Systems business in the Oman region. Based in Oman, you will join the Sales-Contracting Team (Oil & Gas) and help expand the company's footprint and customer base. The role combines technical understanding with sales execution to develop opportunities, shape customer solutions and support tendering and bidding for fire protection and security systems in the oil and gas sector.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, pursue and close new sales opportunities across Oman.
• Prepare competitive proposals addressing customer requirements, project scope and commercial expectations.
• Support tendering and bidding through technical and commercial coordination with internal stakeholders.
• Position Johnson Controls through knowledge of fire protection, fire detection, fire & gas and security systems.
• Use market awareness to understand competitors' offerings and respond during the sales cycle.
• Manage pre-qualification and vendor registration with end users, consultants, contractors and customers, including AVME registrations, ROP, PACDA approvals and brand registrations.
• Organise product presentations, technical workshops and company profile sessions to drive specification opportunities.
• Build long-term customer relationships focused on territory growth and repeat business.
• Work with engineering, sales and contracting teams on solution design, customer engagement and deal progression.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proven track record of delivering sales targets in Oman, with a focus on fire & gas, fire protection and security systems for the oil and gas industry.
• Fluent English and a valid Oman driving licence.
