Senior Sales Executive - Luxury Furniture Showroom

About the role

A luxury and premium furniture showroom in Muscat, Oman is looking for a retail Sales Executive with a background in Interior Design. The role focuses on enhancing customer satisfaction, meeting sales goals and creating and closing new opportunities through a consultative approach to selling.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a personalised sales experience to each prospect, helping them choose the right products and building loyalty
• Answer customer enquiries professionally about products, prices and availability
• Meet and exceed sales targets and generate business from new and existing accounts
• Manage complex negotiations with senior executives and build long-term customer relationships
• Handle the purchasing process: select furniture, coordinate with designers, suppliers and management
• Prepare quotations, invoices, purchase orders, terms and conditions and receipts
• Promote showroom products to potential customers and engage regularly with suppliers on sales, pricing, discounts and deliveries
• Work with the design and installation team, monitor inventory, maintain showroom displays and report daily activities to management
• Coordinate with marketing agencies, software vendors and logistics companies, and supervise furniture installation and assembly
• Travel to suppliers and furniture fairs, and host visiting suppliers and customers

Required profile

• Higher diploma or higher in Business Administration, Marketing, Interior Design or Architecture, or equivalent; postgraduate degree desirable
• At least 5 years of experience in business, marketing and administration, preferably in the luxury furniture sector
• Demonstrable track record of exceeding sales quotas
• Fluent spoken and written English and Arabic
• Willingness to work overtime and on holidays if needed, on a compensation basis

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• CRM systems and knowledge of supplier agreements and terms
• Basic knowledge of accounting and finance principles
• Understanding of technical drawings, supplier catalogues and price books
• Preferred: knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and InDesign
