Senior Software Architect

About the role

The Senior Software Architect will lead the design and development of robust software architectures for RQMNA’s digital government platforms. Based in Masqat, Oman, this full‑time, on‑site position focuses on delivering scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions that meet industry standards and public sector needs.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve architecture frameworks and guidelines.
• Drive best practices for software design, development, and code quality.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality software products.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and incorporate relevant innovations.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in software architecture and building scalable, maintainable systems.
• Strong hands‑on experience in software development and programming.
• Advanced knowledge of software design and design patterns.
• Effective leadership, communication, and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with cloud‑native architecture and microservices is a plus.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• Familiarity with government or enterprise digital transformation projects is advantageous.
