Senior Supply Chain Specialist – Sur, Oman

About the role

The client, a leading energy company operating in Oman, is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Specialist to join its Sur office. You will lead the end‑to‑end procurement function, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services that support critical operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and implement the annual procurement and contract placement plan, including budgeting.
• Oversee the full procurement cycle – requisition, approval, purchase order issuance, and compliance with policies.
• Develop and optimise procurement policies, procedures and workflows.
• Ensure accurate and on‑time procurement of goods and services to meet operational needs.
• Design and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Expand the supplier base, evaluate capabilities, and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Lead negotiations to secure favourable terms, pricing and quality standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics or related field.
• Professional qualification such as CIPS is beneficial; PMP certification is an advantage.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in procurement, contracting and warehouse management, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
• Proven experience in the energy or power sector is highly desirable.
• Strong project execution and follow‑up capabilities, able to work autonomously on multiple tasks.
• Previous experience working in the GCC region is preferred.
