Senior System Analyst – Financial & Taxation Systems

About the role

KalSoft is seeking a Senior System Analyst to lead the analysis and design of enterprise financial and taxation systems for its Omani operations. The role bridges business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring that system enhancements meet functional and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct workshops and interviews with business stakeholders to gather, analyse and validate requirements.
• Perform comprehensive analysis of taxation and financial systems, assessing functionality, performance and future readiness.
• Execute gap analysis, identify automation opportunities and propose optimized solutions.
• Prepare BRDs, FRDs, functional specifications, use cases, workflows and related documentation.
• Evaluate feasibility and business impact of proposed solutions, including proof‑of‑concept designs.
• Act as primary liaison between business users, IT teams and third‑party vendors to coordinate enhancements and service delivery.
• Manage vendor deliverables, review solutions and monitor SLAs for quality and timeliness.
• Identify, document and verify system defects, conduct regression testing and support issue resolution.
• Develop test plans, lead UAT and validate system functionality against requirements.
• Document system architecture, process maps, data flows and integration points.
• Create and maintain SOPs, user manuals, training materials and version‑controlled documentation.
• Monitor post‑implementation performance, conduct audits and capture lessons learned for continuous improvement.
• Prepare project status reports, presentations and conduct end‑user training sessions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 8 + years of experience as a System Analyst in enterprise environments.
• At least 5 + years working with financial systems such as ERP, accounting or financial management solutions.
• Minimum 3 + years experience with taxation platforms or related financial applications.
• Omani nationality required.
