Service Sales Manager – Motion Solutions

About the role

ABB is looking for a Service Sales Manager to lead the implementation of its service sales strategy for the Motion portfolio in Oman. You will drive profitable growth, manage key customer accounts and ensure the delivery of lifecycle management solutions across drives, motors and PLCs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a service sales team to achieve year‑over‑year profitable growth.
• Implement the local sales strategy in line with ABB’s global approach and use the latest tools effectively.
• Maintain and update account plans in Salesforce (SFDC) for the top 5‑10 customers each year.
• Identify installed base, customer challenges and decision‑makers to propose proactive solutions.
• Generate at least USD 45 M of opportunities for 2027 and secure USD 11 M of service orders.
• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for Motion services (drives, motors, PLCs).
• Ensure accurate forecasting, commercial and legal risk mitigation, and regular sales reviews.
• Promote preventive maintenance, re‑conditioning and HSE compliance throughout the sales cycle.
• Map >90% of the installed base, prepare technical offers, manage channel partners and follow up payments.
• Organise customised technical events to increase ABB’s acceptance with end‑users.

Required profile

• Electrical engineering background.
• 15+ years of experience with a proven track record in service sales, preferably for drives, motors and PLCs.
• Strong team‑management and leadership skills.
• Experience working with major government customers and digital solutions.
• Excellent English communication skills and an innovative mindset.
