Assistant Manager – Learning & Development

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Learning & Development will design, implement and evaluate learning initiatives that boost employee capability, leadership effectiveness and overall organisational performance. Partnering with business leaders, the role supports leadership development, talent management, succession planning and employee engagement while aligning programmes with Hawana Salalah’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the annual Learning & Development strategy and training calendar in line with business priorities.
• Conduct Training Needs Analyses through business consultations, performance reviews and operational requirements.
• Design, coordinate and facilitate technical, behavioural, leadership, compliance and customer‑service training programmes.
• Evaluate learning effectiveness using feedback, assessments and business performance indicators.
• Manage the learning budget to ensure cost‑effective delivery of programmes.
• Maintain accurate training records, certifications and reports within the LMS or HRIS.
• Coordinate the performance management cycle, including goal setting, reviews and development planning.
• Coach managers on performance conversations, feedback and improvement plans.
• Design and deliver leadership development programmes and provide coaching to managers and employees.
• Support succession planning, identify high‑potential talent and recommend development plans.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning, collaboration and innovation.

Required profile

• Coaching experience is highly valued.
