Certification Manager

About the role

The Certification Manager will lead the Business Unit for Bureau Veritas Certification in Muscat, overseeing operational, technical, commercial, financial and administrative activities. The role ensures alignment with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System and drives business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a business plan aligned with organisational objectives.
• Define and monitor sales, operational and technical KPIs.
• Analyse monthly results, initiate corrective actions and report progress.
• Identify organic and inorganic growth opportunities for existing and new products and markets.
• Recruit, train, motivate and assess team members.
• Provide technical and operational support by coordinating with internal units.
• Ensure timely reporting and manage payments linked to report submissions.
• Protect and manage Licences to Operate (LTOs).
• Organise regular operational meetings and maintain relationships with large accounts.
• Prepare field‑trip reports and communicate incidental business issues.
• Implement and uphold Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) commitments.

Required profile

• Science or Engineering graduate (or postgraduate) with at least 10 years of industry experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience conducting 2nd or 3rd‑party audits.
• Certified Lead Auditor for Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Strong go‑to‑market attitude with ability to convert contacts into business.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
