Equity Research Analyst – Oil & Gas / Natural Resources

About the role

An established Equity Research team is seeking a Junior Equity Research Analyst to join its growing platform in Oman. The analyst will support existing Omani equity coverage and help expand research into Central Asian natural resources, energy, and commodity markets.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update detailed financial models for companies in Oil & Gas, Mining and Natural Resources.
• Monitor daily news, company announcements and sector developments.
• Conduct fundamental research, analyse financial results and assess investment implications.
• Prepare earnings updates, company notes and sector research reports.
• Track commodity prices, macro‑economic trends and industry dynamics.
• Assist senior analysts with investment ideas, valuation analysis and thematic research.
• Build relationships with company management, industry contacts and market participants.

Required profile

• Approximately 3 years of experience in equity research, investment banking, consulting or a related analytical role within Energy, Mining or Natural Resources.
• Strong interest in Oil & Gas, Mining and Natural Resources, especially in emerging Central Asian markets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a lean research team.
