Senior SAP Finance & Controlling (FICO) Consultant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP Finance & Controlling (FICO) Consultant to lead a major SAP transformation for a client in the upstream oil & gas sector. The role will ensure effective financial management and control across a complex enterprise environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full‑lifecycle SAP FICO implementations, from requirement gathering to post‑go‑live support.
• Conduct workshops and perform fit‑gap analysis with finance, controlling and business stakeholders.
• Configure SAP FICO modules (GL, AP, AR, AA, Bank Accounting) to meet business needs.
• Design and implement Controlling solutions (Cost Center, Internal Orders, Profit Center, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis).
• Collaborate with cross‑functional SAP teams (MM, PM, PS, Procurement, Asset Management).
• Develop functional specifications and support technical development.
• Manage testing activities (SIT, UAT) and production cut‑over.
• Provide stakeholder management and executive‑level communication throughout the project.
• Deliver user training and knowledge‑transfer sessions.

Required profile

• 8+ years of SAP FICO consulting experience.
• Proven track record of delivering multiple end‑to‑end SAP implementation projects.
• Strong hands‑on SAP FICO configuration expertise.
• Previous experience in the Oil & Gas industry, preferably upstream.
• Deep understanding of financial accounting and controlling processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and client‑facing consulting skills.
• Strong communication and workshop facilitation abilities.
