Financial Director – Investment Holding & Family Office

About the role

We are establishing a confidential investment platform in Muscat, transitioning from a family office to a regulated asset‑management business with USD 500 million‑plus under management. The Finance Director will lead finance, treasury, control and governance while partnering with the CIO on investment decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and board reporting.
• Manage cash, liquidity planning, banking relationships and treasury discipline.
• Develop and maintain financial controls, governance frameworks and regulatory capital management.
• Oversee external audit, tax advisers and statutory reporting.
• Review financial models, business plans and investment memoranda; provide independent financial opinions to the Investment Committee.
• Monitor post‑investment performance and assess regulatory capital implications of new structures.

Required profile

• 8–15 years of finance leadership experience in a family office, asset manager, investment holding company, bank or regulated financial services firm.
• ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent qualification.
• Strong background in treasury, financial control and Board reporting.
• Experience supporting investment teams with commercial analysis is highly desirable.
• Understanding of regulatory capital, liquidity management and financial governance within a licensed institution.
