Building Delivery Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Building Delivery Manager to lead the end‑to‑end delivery of building packages for a major industrial project in Sohar, Oman. The role is site‑based and acts as the client’s focal point, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, EPC contractors and stakeholders to ensure safe, timely and high‑quality execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of assigned buildings through the full project lifecycle, from engineering and procurement to construction, pre‑commissioning, commissioning support and final handover.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities to ensure seamless execution.
• Monitor contractor performance, progress, productivity and resource mobilisation.
• Identify delivery risks, construction constraints and schedule impacts, and drive corrective actions.
• Ensure engineering deliverables, technical queries, material availability and procurement support construction progress.
• Monitor compliance with HSE requirements, quality standards, inspections, NCR management and punch‑list closure.
• Coordinate mechanical completion, system handover and commissioning readiness with project stakeholders.
• Lead multidisciplinary coordination meetings and track actions to completion.
• Provide accurate progress reports covering schedule, quality, HSE, contractor performance, risks and milestones.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, subcontractors, vendors and suppliers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline.
• Significant experience delivering building or infrastructure packages within large EPC, LNG, oil & gas, petrochemical or heavy‑industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and project handover processes.
• Proven ability to manage contractors, coordinate multidisciplinary teams and resolve execution issues.
• Solid understanding of construction planning, project scheduling, HSE, QA/QC, mechanical completion and commissioning.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and reporting skills.
