Lifting Supervisor – Offshore Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Lifting Supervisor to oversee all lifting activities on an offshore project in Sohar, Oman. The role ensures safe execution of lifts, compliance with plans and risk assessments, and coordination with site teams.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all lifting operations on site.
• Ensure lifting plans and risk assessments are prepared, approved and followed.
• Inspect lifting equipment, verify certifications and condition.
• Confirm competence and certification of crane operators, riggers and signalmen.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for lifting tasks.
• Monitor weather and site conditions to identify safe lifting windows.
• Liaise with site management, HSE and subcontractors to plan and execute lifts safely.
• Maintain records of lifting operations, incidents and equipment inspections.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in lifting operations within construction, oil & gas or heavy industry.
• Proven knowledge of crane operations, rigging gear and lifting accessories.
