Business Development & Tendering Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a highly organized Business Development & Tendering Specialist to support our Business Development Department. The role focuses on identifying new opportunities, managing tender processes, coordinating commercial activities, and ensuring timely follow‑up of proposals.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and track new business opportunities in Oman and international markets.
• Monitor tender portals, customer announcements, and market opportunities.
• Review tender documents, contracts, scopes of work, commercial terms and submission requirements.
• Summarize key requirements, risks, deadlines, required documents and action points for management.
• Coordinate with internal departments, technical teams and external entities to gather inputs for proposals.
• Break down opportunities into tasks, assign owners and track completion.
• Maintain opportunity trackers and provide visibility on status, deadlines, risks and pending actions.
• Support preparation of quotations, commercial offers, sales orders and related documentation.
• Update opportunities, quotations, orders and project status in SAP.
• Maintain accurate records of tenders, submissions, contracts, customer communications and follow‑up actions.
• Prepare regular summaries, trackers and reports for management.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in business development, tendering, commercial coordination, sales support or project coordination.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field.
• Experience with government or private‑sector tenders in Oman is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to read and summarize complex tender documents.
• Excellent coordination, follow‑up and deadline‑management skills.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
