Executive Housekeeper

About the role

The Executive Housekeeper leads the housekeeping department of an ultra‑luxury resort, ensuring that guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces meet the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort and presentation. Reporting to the Director of Rooms, you will manage a team of housekeeping professionals and support the resort’s reputation for exceptional service.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with the front office to guarantee rooms are serviced, turned down and ready for new arrivals.
• Monitor daily cleaning of guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house zones to ensure compliance with resort standards.
• Oversee uniform, laundry and linen management, ensuring items are clean, in good condition and billed correctly.
• Supervise contractors and mini‑bar operations, ensuring quality and timely guest billing.
• Administer the Lost & Found system and prepare timely operational reports.
• Maintain inventory, control purchasing and manage the annual housekeeping budget.
• Prepare duty rosters, vacation plans and schedules to optimise staffing.
• Foster team morale, maintain effective relationships with colleagues and stay updated on housekeeping best practices.

Required profile

• Hospitality degree from a recognised school or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years progressive managerial experience in a luxury hospitality brand.
• Previous work experience in a GCC country or other remote locations.
• Exposure to cross‑cultural work environments.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Proven ability to train, supervise staff and communicate with management and guests.
• Strong leadership and organisational capabilities.
