Finance Controller – Oman (Omani candidates only)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Controller to lead the end‑to‑end finance function for our Oman operations. This role reports to the Country Head and is open to Omani nationals only. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and strong financial governance within a fast‑growing fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting activities, including payments processing, bank reconciliations and maintenance of accruals, pre‑payments and fixed‑asset registers.
• Oversee revenue accounting across multiple streams and control cost of sales, gateway charges and operating expenses.
• Lead month‑end close, prepare trial balances, perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and upload financials to group reporting systems (Cognos).
• Prepare and maintain budget vs. actuals trackers, conduct P&L and gross‑margin analysis, and update cash‑flow forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with Omani tax regulations, manage VAT filings, tax provisions and coordinate with external tax consultants.
• Liaise with external auditors for statutory audits and agreed‑upon procedures.
• Prepare regulatory reports, including financial statements and capital‑adequacy submissions.

Required profile

• Omani nationality.
• Proven experience in finance controlling or senior accounting roles within a regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of Omani VAT, withholding tax and statutory reporting requirements.
• Ability to work independently, partner with business units and drive process improvements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP Odoo.
• Experience using Cognos for group reporting.
• Hands‑on expertise in month‑end closing, financial reporting and audit coordination.
