Financial Accountant

About the role

The Financial Accountant will support the financial operations of Crowne Plaza Resort Salalah, ensuring accurate records, timely reconciliations and compliance with IHG standards and Omani regulations. This position works closely with operational teams to provide reliable financial data for sound business decisions in a fast‑paced hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records in line with company policies and applicable standards.
• Prepare daily, monthly and annual financial reports and support month‑end and year‑end closing.
• Perform bank, balance‑sheet, general‑ledger and intercompany reconciliations.
• Review and reconcile revenues from Rooms, F&B, Events, Spa and other departments.
• Monitor Accounts Payable and Receivable, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and cost‑control initiatives.
• Support inventory, payroll, purchasing and other finance‑related processes.
• Provide documentation for internal and external audits and ensure tax, VAT and statutory compliance.
• Identify discrepancies, investigate variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Promote financial awareness across operational departments and perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance & Business Support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, financial reporting and internal controls.
• Previous hotel finance experience is highly desirable.
